Public Service and Web Development Duties:

  • Designed and coded the library’s first subject guide platform using SubjectsPlus content management system.
  • Promoted library services by developing “New Titles” splash page and email blast by building an application that utilizes WMS Analytics module, Google Books API, Amazon Advertising API, and OCLC Discovery API.
  • Kept patrons up-to-date with important library information by developing a “Library Hours Widget” to display library hours through the use of Google Calendar API and Google PHP OAuth Client Library.
Coordinator of Web Communications Duties:

  • Increased average monthly web traffic to Gellert Memorial Library website (library.stpsu.edu) by 18% from Feb 2014 to Oct 2016 while overseeing content, design, and UX application.
  • Addressed WCAG guidelines for each design project by including language definitions, clear heading color contrast, large font-size and ample line-height, and Alt text descriptions for images.
  • Fully optimized mobile responsive functionality for STPSU website while upgrading Joomla! 3.4 CMS.
  • Improved institutional credibility by creating and managing branding style guide for all web and print publications.
  • Created all institutional publications for STPSU web and print design, including: invitations, programs, worship aids, flyers, ads, letterheads, and the semi-annual magazine (The Patrician).
